Everyone knows the view from Mt Coot-tha — but that means driving out of the city and looking back at Brisbane from a hill. There is a better way to see the whole city, and it is right in the middle of town.
Sky Deck, on level 23 of The Star Brisbane at Queen's Wharf, is Brisbane's free high lookout — straight over the Brisbane River, with a glass floor you can look straight down through to the expressway and the water below.
Free, no hill to climb, and the whole city laid out at your feet. I spent five minutes of golden hour up here — here are the 24 frames.
